Despite the heavy subject matter, behind the scenes of FRAY was very light-hearted and a lot of fun. Friends since childhood, director Geoff Ryan and D.P. Jarin Blaschke - along with the core team: producer Jodi Redmond and actor Bryan Kaplan - have all worked together numerous times in the past and remain great friends in their daily lives which helped create a familial feeling on set. WIth the addition of a wonderfully passionate and good-natured local cast and crew there were always jokes and smiles even in the most pressing times... the sight of Geoff and Jarin's ridiculous beards was often the cause of that laughter.
